Ellwood is primarily a wildlife artist but he also paints landscapes, seascapes, buildings and abstract.

He spends a lot of time traveling around the world sketching, painting and photographing wildlife and the landscapes they inhabit, which he then turns in to finished works of art in his studio adjacent to the gallery.
